Interview | Kate Covers Glamour

Katie Holmes

One of my favorites, former girl next door, & current A-list celebrity, Katie Holmes-Cruise, is on the cover of the april 2009 issue of  “Glamour“. Looking absolutely stunning, Kate gushed about Tom, being a mom, and her career aspirations.

Peep what Katie told Glamour Mag:

On her childhood icons

“Growing up, I always had my dreams set on being an actor, so I looked up to Julia Roberts, Audrey Hepburn. I also look up to Kate Winslet and Renée [Zellweger] and Cate Blanchett…and Diane Keaton—she’s a genius.”

On married life:

“As a woman, you make the transition from being single to [being] a partner. I have a teammate.”

On being a mom:

“Becoming a mother has been the most amazing experience—in an instant you become strong. You have to be a little bit wiser; it’s the most important job you have in the world.”

On her career:

“Acting—I want to do it all. Bad girl, good girl, complicated girl. Aren’t we all complicated?”

On gossip:

“We were changing diapers. [Tom] said, ‘I don’t want you to get upset,’ And I said, ‘Well, I am upset.’ So we approached it together. But I definitely felt like—as a woman, as the mother of Suri—I want to handle this! My mom is very strong, and if anyone ever said anything about any of us, she would be, ‘Excuse me?’ That’s my family!’”

I have to confess that I personally adore Katie.  I love her new look and her style. No joke, She’s actually one of my fashion icons and inspirations,  I absolutely adore her casual everyday look. I’ve always seen myself as a “Katie” now wheres my “Tom”?

I’m waiting,
L
